Bring your Regency dreams to life with the perfect pair of delicate dancing slippers. The Penelope slippers offer beauty, comfort, and versatility with so many color pairings, ways to wear the ribbons, and a soft yet durable construction.

These slip-on shoes are accurate for c. 1800 - 1830. They feature a beautiful satin upper embroidered with a historical design on the vamp, complete with spangles. The edges are bound in petersham, with matching optional ankle ribbons and vamp bow which is easily removed. Period-correct turnshoe construction, soft square toe, and real leather soles make the Penelopes unmatched for evening and formal events where the prettiest of shoes are required. Wear them for Jane Austen, Napoleonic, War of 1812, and all Regency events.

Perfect shoes

I wanted a new pair of slippers for the Christmas holidays, and these are absolutely perfect for my needs and wishes :)
The fit, 7,5 (eu 38) is perfect. The colour is amazing! (Magenta) Beautiful shoes.

Beautiful but no good if you have high arch

The shoes are absolutely beautiful and I was so excited when I opened the box. I just tried them on, but unfortunately they don't fit. I'm a UK5 and bought the US7, which usually fits me perfectly fine. The front is very low, and I have a high arch. So I can't get my foot in at all. Please be aware when you order that you don't have a high arch, they will not fit you. Gutted! 😞

Perfect Regency slippers

I’ve been wanting something like this for a long time. They arrived a couple of days before the Bridgerton Experience I was going to. The ivory goes well with most of my Regency dresses so it was perfect for the dress I was planning to wear. It was great for dancing and was so comfortable I didn’t want to take them off even when I got home. I’m going to buy another one so that I have a spare. They felt true to size for me.

Beautiful but also too tight

Like the Antoinettes, these are beautiful shoes, but way too tight across the vamp & in the heel. They fit length wise, but border on painful in the heel & across the vamp. Really disappointed. I’ve been waiting for a Regency slipper for years.
